Esker Spirits at home.
Esker Spirits at home.
United with gin. A few weeks ago (#internationalwomensday to be exact), Lynne wrote a post for our Instagram about the challenges she found when she stopped working in the big corporate world, being surrounded by people and chat all the time to working in a small business; and often working from home... Timing was everything it seems!
We asked Lynne for an Esker-life-on-lockdown update.

So, working from home is the new reality and that’s no different for Team Esker. Julia, Steve, Suz and I probably all have worked from home to a greater or lesser extent over the past couple of years – this is where it all started for Steve and me after all!
We did briefly consider moving the distilling equipment back to the house when the restrictions on movement first started; but what was once the distillery-in-our-back-garden has been well and truly taken over by our 5-year old. We needed a plan B.

Space aside, the fun challenges of trying to work and juggle childcare has probably made me reach for the Esker more than usual. It has also made the whole team look at what we can do for our wider Esker family.
You will still see us around on social media and we’re working at the distillery (although only one at a time).
We have extended our online shopping discount code (ESKERSPRING20) and are also sharing posts on social media of local stockists who are doing contact-free delivery.
Online gin tastings.
We are hosting online tasting sessions (some live and some pre-recorded) to give you more ideas around drinking your Esker Spirits at home – and something different to do with your weekends! Any recipes created during the online sessions will be shared on our social media and you can check out the cocktails and serves page for some ideas too.
We’d love to hear from you if there are cocktails or Esker Spirits serves you’d like to see. Please drop us a line on our social media channels or email us at info@eskerspirits.com.
