The garlands have been dug out of the loft and the string lights are twinkling away which can only mean one thing for Team Esker… it’s Christmas Market season! And with the markets come the need for some Christmas shopping inspiration - and we’re here to help. While the markets - and the shops - are full of tempting goodies, let us share how Esker Spirits can help plug the gaps in your Christmas shopping list.
Give the gift of Esker
For many, a “nice bottle of something” has become a go-to gift - it can be enjoyed, shared and tailored to the (very) lucky recipient; so what does the Esker distillery have to offer this season?
The Esker Ice Cube - gin or vodka? Decisions, decisions! The Ice Cubes contain four miniature (5cl) varieties of our gins or our vodkas - both classic and fruit flavours; and the vodka Ice Cubes contain two special editions - Vanilla and Spiced Pear. Cocktail recipes will be on our social media and blog soon, if you really want to impress!
Esker flavoured gins - Scottish Raspberry or Valencian Orange. These gin’s come in the very gift-friendly 50cl size and are bursting full of natural flavour! Scottish Raspberry is a beautiful blush gin that actually tastes of the sweet and juicy raspberries that flavour it; and the Valencian Orange has a hint of the bitter zest along with the piney juniper making it a mouth-watering, rounded citrus gin.
Esker Vodka - these cocktail-friendly, naturally fruit-flavoured vodkas really hit the spot! Available in Scottish Raspberry or Orange and Pomegranate; we have Christmas cocktail recipes to share soon (including a very more-ish mulled wine with Esker Orange & Pomegranate Vodka).
The classic London Dry Gins - Esker and Esker Silverglas. These are two full-flavoured, classic dry gins. Esker is the absolute classic - juniper, citrus and a creamy smooth finish. It is unmistakable! If you enjoy a classic G&T, served simply, Esker is definitely for you (or… ahem… whoever it is you’re buying a present for). However, its little sister, Esker Silverglas, offers a slightly different take on the classic with notes of mint and lemon, it is a gin mojito in a glass - cool, light and refreshing.
Finally, the festive classic that is Esker Gold! The Esker Gold is consistently a best-seller at Christmas time. You might already have come across it as “Esker Honey Spiced” - we’ve kept the same gorgeous flavours and packaged it up in a new bottle with branding. Esker Gold brings the flavours of the festive season (gentle spices and a slight, indulgent sweetness) and you just need to bring the open fire and someone to pour you a glass!
Esker Spirits and Christmas Day
One big meal is never quite enough on Christmas Day, is it? There is always room for a little snack to keep you going through the evening and we are delighted to welcome our Snack Packs back for Christmas! Pairing our gins with mixers and some delicious snacks, these are fabulous presents and are everything you might need for the perfect night in.
The Snack Packs were hugely successful during the summer months, and so we’d like to introduce one very special limited edition - the Esker Gold Snack Pack! In addition to a bottle of Esker Gold and some Double Dutch Ginger Ale mixers, you will find two sharing sized packs of Mackie’s crisps and one Esker Valencian Orange Christmas Cake from our friends at From Bakery Lane. Team Esker was lucky enough to have a sample cake - and we’re still talking about how delicious it was. There are only 25 Gold Snack Packs available… and they’ll go like hot cakes - you have been warned!

We’d like to make this easy for you - you can find our whole range on our website - the Snack Packs are available exclusively via our online shop.
However, there are many other options! Try your local independent off licence for Esker and our flavoured gins - the Scottish Coop carries our range too. For the Ice Cubes try Sainsburys (for the Vodka Ice Cube) or John Lewis (for the Gin Ice Cube).
For those of you who are based in or around Aberdeen, we would love to see you at the Aberdeen Christmas Market where we will be every weekend until Christmas. In fact, we’ll be there from Thursday 26th November through until the market closes on Wednesday 23rd December.
